E mail the BBC trust!

What fun!

Some delusional fuck-wits have set up a site in order for gullible folks to e mail the BBC trust urging them not to make cuts at the BBC.

But it appears that the e mail script can be adjusted!

Go on, you know you want to.... HERE

I'm counting on a reply here mind Rab.......

Dear BBC Trust,

I am writing to respond to the consultation about the Strategic Review recently published by the Trust. I urge you to continue with your plans to make cuts to the BBC. The current proposals would get rid of some piss poor services, including 6Music, Asian Network and many BBC websites, which no fucker ever tunes into anyway.

Please go ahead with the current plans to make these cuts and keep on going until the entire institution has disappeared down the pan completely, where it so rightly belongs. New Labour television for the guardian reading elite, does not, has not, and never will appeal to me, and if you think that I'm ever gonna pay my licence fee again you can just go away and swivel.

Rab, you devil you - you tempted me too & this went winging it's way to the Trustees - unless of course 38Degrees do any censorship?

Dear BBC Trust,

I am writing to respond to the consultation about the Strategic Review recently published by the Trust. I urge you make even greater cuts than originally planned by getting rid of the overpaid fat cats at the top of the Corporation & many of the mediocre overpaid 'entertainers' too. While you're at it, you could enforce the rule about the BBC being strictly impartial politically. I got so sick of watching government propaganda & constant blatent Labour electioneering every time I turned my set on that I gave up watching TV. Sort out the overpaid, the political lackeys & the workshy so that the BBC can return to doing what it used to do best - news, drama, plays & nature programs - in the future.

Yours,

Fred Bloggs

Here's my humble effort ;-)

Dear BBC Trust,

I am writing to respond to the consultation about the Strategic Review recently published by the Trust. I urge you to continue with your plans to make cuts to the BBC. The current proposals would get rid of some barely known yet very expensive services, including 6Music, Asian Network and many BBC websites. Websites, incidentally, that hardly any sod visits because they prefer Facebook and YouTube.

Please go ahead with the current plans to make these cuts and don't stop there. You'll never get a licence fee out of me so perhaps you'd better look at going commercial. Once the geriatrics that you hate (yet all seemingly still think you're impartial) have been killed off by the NHS you champion so strongly, you'll have no fucker left who prefers you to Sky...

Hugs,
Corrugated Soundbite

"38 Degrees" rang an alarm bell in the empty space between my ears - a quick search found this:

The Privacy Statement seems to have been updated since that post, but it might be wise to exercise some caution.

Wonderfulness
"Dear BBC Trust,

Please go ahead with the current plans to make these cuts and find additional ways to make sure the BBC can cut back as many staff as possible in the future

Subject:Letter of approval for BBC cuts

Dear BBC Trust,

I am writing to respond to the consultation about the Strategic Review recently published by the Trust. I urge you to please continue with your plans to make cuts to the BBC. The current proposals would get rid of some unnecessary services, including 6Music, Asian Network and many BBC websites.

If you're looking for ideas, I would suggest that you might also consider axing BBC3 and BBC4, as getting rid of these two channels is absolutely vital to those who pay Television Licence fees and no loss whatsoever to the viewing public.

So please do go ahead with the current plans to make cuts and find ways to make sure the BBC continues to do what it actually does best in the future.

Yours,

Barking Spider

Reading some of the emails here, maybe I should have gone in a bit harder. :-D

Do make cuts to the BBC

Dear BBC Trust,

Cut more, cut much, much more. Cut Chris Evens and Chris Moyles, cut all reality/Dance related shows, have a proper stab at the news i.e. Impartial. Go on try it for a week and see how it goes.

Let's have no more quiz shows, ever! Horizon on daily, Holby 5 nights a week (my wife asked for that one). Less costume drama, how about doing some decent crime dramas again (The wife again). Loads of documentaries especially history and science but please no more Alan (smug tosser) Yentob. A 5 year holiday from Top Gear. Finally please don't ever let bloody news readers do any dancing/singing again, I know it's for charity but I have to destroy my TV every time I see the buggers prancing about and it is getting too expensive.

Yours,
