Real life....

....has been extremely hectic/stressful of late. Thus my intertwat inactivity for the past while.

The Rablet just got out of Yorkhill hospital yesterday after having major surgery last week. He's doing fine but it's a long road.

I applied and got offered a new job with a competitor. I accepted it, handed in my notice and three weeks into my notice period decided that the grass is not greener and withdrew my notice over the weekend. Talk about a red face......

And I passed my driving test the other day.

All I need for a full 'stress hand' is a divorce and a house move.

So blogging, twattering and e mailing have taken a back seat for now.

I am not quitting. Always remember,

He who remains silent gives his consent.

I wondered where you'd got to! Glad to here the wee one is doing OK. Sounds like you're focused on the realities and have your priorities right. I reckon you've done more than most to bring the light of truth into some very dark places.
Look forward to your return when the time is right for you.

Just keep your priorities right, as you seem to be doing so quite well.

Och the rablet will be fine Rab, if he's anything like his da, a right battler he is :)

Thank god it was Yorkhill and not Stobhill...is Stobhill hospital still there?

I have a simple mantra in life when things get difficult : "All life is shit. Only the depth varies."
Things can only get better - oh hang on! Some bugger already nicked that one....

Yep, Stobhill's still there. Kind of. They more or less knocked it down and built a new one in the car park, which is supposed to be outpatients and day-surgery only, but as usual with the People's Health Soviet it isn't quite working out that way.

Could be worse: at least it isn't the Royal. Why do they keep building hospitals that destroy your will to live?

Anyway, best of luck, Rab. At least you're tackling life head on. I tend to sit in a corner, whimpering.

Thanks Bunni, things much better now.

As for the job DL, (and Bunni), I didn't take it because basically they seem to be a bigger bunch of bastards than my current lot!
