No-one in Britain under the age of 53 has ever had a chance to give their opinion on our country's position within the European Union (EU).

Some people believe that we should leave the EU altogether, and that we should negotiate trading and other agreements with Europe as we would with any other country or continent. Others believe that our best interests would be served by fully committing to the EU, which would mean greater surrender of sovereignty to Brussels, and eventual adoption of the single currency - the Euro.

Currently, we have one foot in the EU, and one foot outside it. This is detrimental to our interests, and to the interests of the EU, both politically and economically, and we need to take a decision as to where our future as a nation lies. This decision must be taken by the people, and our politicians must abide by it. When that decision is made, then we will look to our politicians to show strong and decisive leadership, and to take our country on the course we choose.

Sign the petition here. If over 100,000 sign the government cannot ignore it.

Yes. I agree that we should come out of the European Union and the Free Trade Area. It too has restrictions and regulations.

We should go it alone. We are after all the winners of the last war. Our people are strong, clever, sober, hard working, talented and well educated. We should be able to cope without foreigners.

It would also mean we wouldn't have to bother with their idiotic restrictions. Why should people only work 40 hours a week. When my grandad was a lad he worked 50 or 60 hours a week. It didn't do him any harm. He lived until he was 56.

And all this stupid health and safety nonsense. People are adults and there are risks in life from climbing trees when you are young to working with asbestos when you are old.

That's life.

We should go it alone.

But of course neither government (nor the Liberal lap dogs) will ever do it. Who would they blame for eveything?

Done, but Cameron will blame the Lib Dems for tying his hands.

Perfect excuse really for a fucking robot.

Given that criticising the EU has been classified a 'hate-crime' do you think it wise to identify yourselves as naysayers in such a way. That petition required an awful lot of personal information.
