And let's not pretend that the fears Labour is stoking up don't have a grain of truth to them: you can't kill off Santa Claus, however illusiory and ficticious, without some tears. Just look at Greece. It may be right, but it'll still hurt.
I think the best course of action may be to sit quietly in a corner and start praying...
