What's up, Doc?

Read this and this.

Apologies for the lazy blogging recently. Poor old me has a sinus infection and infections in both ears. I just can't be arsed with anything.

Thanks for the link, Rab. Folk are clicking thick and fast.

Get well soon.

Your comment at Underdogs is spot-on, Rab. The BMA is a government agency in all but name. All the professions have them. The Law Society of Scotland was set up by Act of Parliament, no less, in the 1930s (not least because the pre-existing Law Agents' Society was a proper association that the State didn't control).

I sympathise with the sinus/ear trouble, by the way. I have a hospital appointment tomorrow for much the same thing. Not pleasant.

Ta for the sympathy folks, much appreciated.

I'm feeling a bit more human but I'm still half deaf and I've been unable to smell or taste anything for well over a week.

I've been tasting brown sauce to see if my taste buds are back but sadly no sign so far. It's a weird feeling!

Hope your appointment goes okay Sam.

Aye, get well soon Rab...and get back to work! (Signing on the dole is fookin' hard work these days and I need your...erm, the money. :))

Great post as always, have my own stuff about my recent visit to the docs to think about writing up.

Thanks Rab. Waste of my time and theirs actually, as it turned out. It was all to do with an ear infection I had about three months ago which has cleared up now, so while my sinuses are still murder, they weren't interested. The only reason I didn't cancel the appointment was because I thought they'd take a look at them as well. In and out in five minutes (plus about an hour of waiting, of course). Envy of the world, you know.
