On Sunday, June 6th, a multi-ethnic, multi-racial coalition of Americans opposed to Islamic violence and intolerance rallied at the site of the World Trade Center in New York City.
Can you imagine what would happen here in the UK if a similar sized protest was held?

The American government has been putting ground zeros near mosques for years.

They wouldn't allow a protest like that to be held in the UK. Wouldn't happen.
We held a rally like that one over the cartoons in Trafalgar Square years ago. It was well publicised and everyone bloviated over attending. The issue? Hardly anyone bothered to actually turn up - making the rest of our multi racial group (Iranians, Brits, Americans) look utterly lame. That's the difference between us and the Yanks. They bother. We whine.
