An example of the problem - I'm a moderator on a forum, and we are always exhorted to choose "festive" avatars at Christmas, and ones for St Patricks day etc. Yet today there's no mention of St Georges day... I've changed mine, and I'm waiting to see if anyone else does.
Of course the fact that several of the top Mods happen to be Irish wouldn't have anything to do with it, would it now?
My English eyes come to pass, and no doubt that's why the Socialists hate us so.....On this twenty third day of April, our National day is still just about legal to make reference to.
Pity is though, if we "grow some", then guess who will call us all racists, using their one size fits all mantra?
That would be ">St Andrew Celebrated on the 30th of November every Year.
Do you actually live in the U.K., or are you watching on from afar, as your very selective with your over all knowledge and opinion on things, as others have also made reference to.
Just checked the BBC tv listings to see what celebrations they have in store for us for St George's Day. Err none. And no mention so far on the radio or tv about St Georges Day. There's an hour programme about India's hospital train. A half hour with Frank Skinner making unfunny jokes about the Tories and an election broadcast by the SWP where they will run down Britain. Why do we have to pay £145 for this BBC shite ?

Yo Blue Wolf, yeah in Nottingham but not here in the Uk all my life,my knowledge! and opinion,I know some things and not others, kind of comes in waves ,from inspired to dumbass,as for the "others",I`m friendly so fuck em!....hope that helps!.
St George has me in a bit of a quandary. He basically threatened people with their lives if they didn't convert to Christianity. Usually this would cause me to hate ol' George, but seeing as any show of Patriotism is now pratically illegal, I feel I have to celebrate this day to maintain my rebelious stance against the erosion of my national identity!!

Thought it was great at the time, and still do. I've put up a link to it, and some quotes from it, over at my place. Thanks!
I'm English and I read your blog - but then I've got a mate in Scotland who reads mine. Fair play!
