Didn't he do well!
I must admit that I was very impressed with Speaker Martin, (aka Gorbals Dick). His non stuttering display of authority and knowledge demonstrated today in the House of Commons was breathtaking. Not once did he have to be told procedure from the clerks and the honourable members cheered their support and took turns to stand and proclaim their support for Mr Speaker. The news networks are buzzing with the revelation that it was all a big mistake and that Parliament's reputation and integrity has well and trully been restored. A great day for British democracy. *sarcasm off*

What a complete farce that was! I know British politics is complex and bound by historical traditions etc.. but that was complete bollocks! How can he just ignore it?

An unearring ability to disregard anything whilst becoming so dillusioned to believe he is correct.
BAlls as big a church bells to be able to stand like that before the media and allow that stream of cobblers to pour from his mouth.
Next time I f**k up in my life to to any sort of level I hope I can act with such dignity.
What stunned me was the fact gthat he didn't know procedure! He had to take advice form the clerks. He's been speaker for nine years forfuksake.
He didn't even know how an opposition MP could table a substantive motion. FFS!!!!
But did he get the cuddly toy?

Martin has been part of the Westminster Club for 30yrs.
I bet he puts his Glesga accent on.
All that c*** needs is a hempen collar - it would improve him no end.
